You can almost feel it just by saying Kinabatangan.
The Kinabatangan River is the second longest river in Malaysia with a length of 560 km beginning in the Crocker Range in Southwest Sabah and ending at the Sulu Sea southeast of Sandakan. It is one of the best places to spot wildlife in Asia!
Taking a cruise down the river is more or less like being on the great plains of Africa and a million times better than going to a zoo – no cages plus you get to experience the wilderness. Here are ten amazing wild animals to see along the Kinabatangan River;
1. ORANGUTAN
2. PROBOSCIS MONKEY
3. MACAQUE MONKEY
4. GREY-TAILED RACER SNAKE
5. HORNBILL
6. CROCODILE
7. ORIENTAL DARTER
8. MONITOR LIZARD
9. KINGFISHER
10. PYGMY ELEPHANT
