Have you ever seen the amazing artwork at Tamparuli Suspension Bridge? Just located at Tamparuli town, 30 minutes away from Kota Kinabalu, you will find a large mural and colourful pillars that symbolizes the ethnicities found in this district, especially the Dusun and Chinese communities.
The mural was painted in order to preserve the ethnic cultures found in the district. It illustrates the legendary story of ‘Solungkoi’ (a beautiful woman who was sacrificed for the Tamparuli bridge), the ‘Bobohizans’, and the story of two British soldiers that died when they were on their way to send a severely injured woman from Kampung Sayap, Kota Belud to a hospital in Jesselton on May 18, 1960.
