Monsopiad Cultural Village is a traditional village located beside the Penampang River approximately 16 km from Kota Kinabalu city.
In 1996, this cultural village was opened to the public to commemorate the great Kadazan warrior, “Monsopiad”. The direct descendants of Monsopiad, his 6th and 7th generations, built the village on the very land where Monsopiad lived and roamed to remember their forefather, and to give an extraordinary insight into their ancient and rich culture.
