Papar, Sabah is welcoming a new drive-thru, this time from Burger King. The outlet, located at Parklane City in Benoni, is expected to open by Christmas this year. Once operational, it will become the 203rd Burger King in Malaysia and the 16th in Sabah.
Built on a 27,000-square-foot site, the restaurant was designed to meet Burger King’s brand standards and drive-thru requirements. When it opens, it will join three other international fast-food chains that already operate drive-thru services in Papar, namely MacDonald’s, KFC and newly opened A&W.
A&W launched its first drive-thru and drive-in outlet in Sabah in October 2025, also within Parklane City. The branch features both traditional ordering counters and car service bays, allowing customers to dine without leaving their vehicles.
With Burger King set to join the area, Benoni continues to grow as a convenient stop for motorists and families passing through. For locals, it also means more dining variety as part of the township’s expanding food scene.
The development of Parklane City is part of ongoing efforts to position Benoni as a modern township with retail, dining and entertainment options easily accessible from the Pan Borneo Highway. With improved road access and growing commercial interest, the area is quickly becoming one of the most active suburban spots in the district.
