Strap on those hiking shoes and get ready to explore the untouched forest of Tawau’s Bukit Gemok!

Approximately 10 kilometers from the center of Tawau, Bukit Gemok (literally Fat Hill in malay) has become a favourite spot for avid trekkers and joggers who love the challenge of varied terrain. The hill is a little over 400 meters above sea level and is part of the Bukit Gemok Forest Reserve, covering 445 hectares.

Here, you will get the chance to witness the beautiful and peaceful green surrounding while you carry on with your hiking activities. During the hike, you don’t need to worry about getting lost because a total of seven resting huts are provided for you to catch a breath or even to enquire for directions.
